All Rental Properties Will Need To Achieve a "C" Rating By 2030
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a document that provides an energy efficiency rating for a property, ranging from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).
It also includes recommendations on improving energy efficiency and helping property owners reduce energy costs and environmental impact.
Whether you're a homeowner, landlord, or estate agent, an EPC is essential for several reasons:
Legal Requirement: You must have a valid EPC when selling or renting out a property. It’s part of the compliance process for property transactions.
Transparency for Buyers and Tenants: Prospective buyers or tenants can make informed decisions based on the property’s energy efficiency, helping them estimate future energy bills.
Higher Property Value: Properties with higher energy ratings tend to be more attractive to buyers and renters, potentially increasing your property’s market value or rental price.
Potential to Save Money: With the EPC's recommendations, you can invest in energy-saving improvements that lower utility bills in the long term.
An EPC assessment involves a certified energy assessor visiting the property to evaluate several factors, including:
Insulation levels
Heating & Water systems
Windows and doors
Construction materials
Heat loss and party walls
This is achieved by creating a floor plan and taking photos of the required elements as evidence.
The information is then compiled to generate the energy efficiency rating and any recommendations for improvement.
We offer competitive prices that cover the entire assessment, travel costs & submission fees:
1 Bed/Studio - £55
2 Beds - £65

Depending on the size of the property, an EPC Assessment can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. While it is preferential that we have a good idea of your property before the appointment to manage expectations, our experienced team will be able to give you an accurate estimate once they arrive.
Once an EPC assessment is completed on-site, we will have the submission finalised and shared with you within 24 hours.
